Georg: Beautiful dark green songbird with silver leafed beak and legs. This songbird by Kay Bojesen is called “Songbird Georg” as a nod to Kay Bojesen’s apprenticeship as a silversmith with Georg Jensen, which he completed in 1910. The beautiful green hue and the fine silver details are inspired by old silver jewellery from this era and match the other Kay Bojesen songbirds perfectly.

Kay: Kay is named after Mr. Bojesen himself who was a great fan of the color blue. He was always either dressed in an immaculate blue suit, shirt and tie or a white smock. The Songbird – like his five colourful siblings – was never put into production when first designed by Kay Bojesen in the 1950s. A gift idea for a flying start to life. Nightingale: The Nightingale is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's famous art fairy tale of the same name. The fairy tale was published in 1843 and is about a nightingale whose song enchanted the Emperor. When the Emperor gets a mechanical Nightingale, he forgets the real Nightingale which then flies away. When the Emperor becomes terminally ill, the nightingale returns and heals the Emperor through his beautiful song. The songbird Nightingale's colors are inspired by the beautiful Chinese Nightingale.

Raven: Designed by Kay Bojesen, Raven, the black songbird, is made of painted beech. With its jet-black plumage, Raven is a stylish, classic addition to the otherwise familiar and colourful flock of Kay Bojesen birds.
