Tie Rug

The soft and cosy Tie Rug is a combination of rya technique and the traditional Finnish cotton flat weave carpet. The beautiful shades of white and grey and the ecological recycled cotton weave make Tie a timeless choice for a modern home. The Tie Rug can also be used as a wall textile.

The irregular pattern of Tie is constructed with long cotton pile, gaining it’s inspiration from traditional Finnish rya rugs. The name Tie means The Road, and according to the designers reflects the unpredictable journey of life.

The Finnish rya rugs were originally made for everyday use and they warmed people and houses as bed covers, carpets and tapestry. With the Finarte Tie cotton rug, Saana and Olli are bringing the beloved weaving technique back to the light and airy modern home.
