Channelling the decade of daring colours and high shoulder pads comes 1986 by Copenhagen based artist Misfitting Things. A kaleidoscope of pinks, purples and greens mix together to form a captivating compilation of colour and texture as a single figure adorns this loud shirt with a sense of ease. Created using a mixture of AI generated imagery and the artists own hand, the composition is both nostalgic whilst being created in our current age.
Misfitting Things is a Danish female owned art studio working with playful and vibrant art prints, objects of desire and ceramics that are made to equally disrupt and brighten up any space. Inspired by youth subcultures, nostalgia, childhood fantasies and everything pastel, their work seeks to reflects the landscape around them – real and imagined. Misfitting Things is not a design brand but a playground for thoughts, aiming to create art that ignites feelings and the joy of making the world just a tiny bit more colourful.
