One evening I sat down at a local food truck spot and noticed on the ground that some kids made a hop scotch course, but instead of the usual boxes it was all hearts. I thought the symbolism and the beauty of kids being full of love and light as a good reminder to myself to do the same. I’ve been creating this work since June of this year and finally finished it with the last bit of inspiration the kids in the neighborhood gave me.
