Kyrr Vase I

Kyrr Vase I by Icelandic designer and artist Kristín Sigurðardóttir features an interplay of simple forms and expressive patterns. Two traditional vase forms are interpreted through fabric motifs, their flowing black and white patterns accentuated against a backdrop of beige and rusty red. Simple yet captivating, the composition is both familiar and fresh.

Originally from northern Iceland, Kristín Sigurðardóttir is a designer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Her work extends across various fields including visual arts and textile in addition to product and material design, focusing mainly on upcycling and sustainability. Combining digital techniques with manual methods, her work often reworks traditional motives into contemporary compositions.
